Beginners Muay Thai Course
Six weeks, starting from zero. Everyone on the course is a beginner and everyone starts on the same night, coached by Tom Foran.
Why a course, not just a class?
Walking into a martial arts gym for the first time is the hardest part. Everyone else seems to know what they're doing. This course fixes that. Every single person in the room is a beginner. You all start on the same night and Tom builds you up week by week. No egos, and nobody gets left in the corner.
It's for brand-new members only. If you already train with us, Thursday nights are your Muay Thai session.
Your six weeks
Stance, guard & footwork
Hands at eye level, elbows tucked, moving in every direction without losing balance. First straight punches on the pads.
Punches & kicks
Hooks join the straights, and your first roundhouse. Pivot on the standing foot, strike with the shin, turn the hips through.
The teep
Judging range, stepping in to close distance, and putting real power through the push kick.
Combinations, both sides
Everything so far, both stances, chained together on the pads.
Knees & elbows
The close-range weapons. Hips driving through the target, hands where they belong.
Putting it all together
Every weapon in mixed pad rounds. Then the door opens to Thursday's weekly class.
What £35 gets you
- Six coached sessions with Tom Foran. Small group, 20 people max.
- No kit needed. Gloves and pads provided. Just sportswear and a bottle of water.
- A room full of people exactly like you. Every one of them walked in never having trained.
Course members can add a half-price August membership (£20) and train every adult class on the timetable alongside the course. Kickboxing, boxing, MMA, BJJ, circuits, open mat. We'll sort it with you after you book.
No trial class and no drop-ins for this one. The whole point is that the group starts and finishes together.
Your coach
Tom Foran is our Muay Thai coach and an active fighter. He runs our Thursday night Muay Thai class too, and this course uses the same approach. Everything taught from zero, on both sides, properly.
