Pads & technique 45–60 min

What you'll learn
The guard
Hands at eye level, elbows tucked, feet shoulder-width apart. Everything starts here, and after every combination, you come back to it.
Footwork
Shuffling in every direction without crossing your feet or losing balance, plus pivots. The base every strike is built on.
Roundhouse kick
Body and low kicks off both sides: pivot on the standing foot, connect with the shin, full rotation through the hips.
Teep
Muay Thai's jab. Judge the range, step in to close the distance, and swing the teeping arm to put real power through it.
Knees & elbows
Hips driving through the target, hands in position throughout. The close-range weapons that make Muay Thai the art of eight limbs.
Boxing hands
Straights, hooks and uppercuts with the opposite side kept tight on every shot, thrown comfortably from both stances.
