Warrior Combat Gym
FIGHT TEAM
Amateur fighters, made in Waterloo. Ten on the next card.
What this is
Some of our members train to compete. They fight at interclubs and amateur shows across the North West in kickboxing, Muay Thai and MMA, with our coaches in their corner.
Most of our members never compete, and never have to. The gym is built for ordinary people who want to train, get fit and be part of something. But if the day comes when you wonder whether you could do more than train, this is the answer: the path exists, it is properly coached, and it starts in the same beginner classes as everyone else.
The corner
You are trained by people who have done it themselves.
How it works
- Train. Regular classes, same as everyone. No separate tryouts, no invitation-only sessions.
- Get noticed. When your coach thinks you are ready, they will say so. Nobody gets pushed and nobody fights before they are ready.
- Interclubs first. Friendly, controlled bouts against other local gyms with full protective gear. That is where every fighter here started.
- Amateur shows. When it is right, we get you matched properly and the whole gym turns up loud.
Next up: Friday 25 September at the Crosby Comrades Club, with ten Warrior fighters on the card. Come and watch, it is the best introduction there is.
Fight camp
The unglamorous part: sparring rounds and interclub prep on our own mats. This is where every Warrior fighter starts.

Think it might be you?
Leave your name and we will have an honest conversation about where you are and what it takes. No pressure either way, and your first class is free like everyone else's.
