BJJ in Waterloo & North Liverpool: leverage over strength, not force
About Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
Looking for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in Liverpool? We run BJJ in Waterloo, two minutes from Waterloo station. Jiu-jitsu is the ground game: control, position and submissions, using technique and leverage so a smaller person can handle someone bigger and stronger. It's brilliant for self-defence, problem-solving and full-body fitness, and it rewards brains as much as muscle. Beginners are welcome and start from the very basics, so you don't need any experience to walk in. We train both Gi and No-Gi, and everyone rolls at their own level. Sessions run Monday 18:30, and your first class is free, so pick a Monday and come and give it a go.
- ✓ Real self-defence built on technique, not size

Do you run Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes for beginners in Liverpool?

Yes, we cover both. Gi work uses the jacket for grips and control, and No-Gi drops it for a faster game. Training both makes you a more complete grappler, and beginners are welcome in either.
